I remember we had an environmental debate once. After the debate, Ryan from Saint Pat's came back with us to the East to have dinner. We exchanged how each of our debates went. For our side, the Proposition had began the debate like this:
"Ladies and gentlemen, if your mother were sick, would you not have done everything you possibly could to make her well again? Ladies and gentlemen, will you not do the same, for our mother Earth?"
Kerri proposed we reply:
"Ladies and gentlemen. With all due respect, i'm not about to CARE about mother Earth, because my OWN mother is lying sick in bed, dying due to poverty. The Proposition's priorities are largely misplaced, and the issue of poverty, as we have stressed time and time again, MUST be dealt with."
It's Earth Day tomorrow. Or Green day... Whatever they call it. I'm really not one for these occasions. it's important to save our world, that's all i know. I'm in full support of the whole "switch off your lights or you're gonna die in a couple of years" thing.
Really.
Well, i just wish we didn't have CIP tomorrow. Stands for community involvement project. Gosh, on a Saturday... We're supposed to get to Bedok Community Centre at... i think around lunch time. After which we're going to probably be briefed and separated into groups. Then we're going to go around knocking on doors, telling people about Earth Hour and convincing them to get down to the Community Centre for a concert nearing the night.
Here's a no-brainer for you. Why do you think we want people down for a concert?
When they go for the concert: People get out of the house.
Because when people get out of the house: They switch off their lights.
When they switch off their lights: They vote for Earth.
When they vote for Earth: They save it.
Tol'ja. No-brainer.
But really, i wish it didn't fall on a Saturday, cause i have lifenets then. and i rarely miss lifenet, except when i'm sick. Plus, i think i have music practice this week!! If i can't go i can't sing with the band. Dagnabbit.
I haven't been feeling very alert lately, for some reason. I feel tired alot, even though i know i shouldn't, since there are other kids around who sleep around the same time i do, but do alot more. I hope i can keep up with myself. There's alot to do, everyday of my life, that i really don't get around to doing.

Come to think of it, that's rather depressing.
